Automatically import items in a 2D scene

Instead of using drag & drop to add items in a guideline, you can automatically import a list of item references (code1) to save time! The import feature generates bays that automatically populate with those references.

3 Make sure that each code1 is separated by a line break then click on "IMPORT".

Good to know

Code1 is the main corporate code to identify an item, it refers to the code displayed on the platform and on an item sheet.

Import errors

An error message will show up if the import was unsuccessful.

There may be multiple reasons why an item cannot be imported, the most common import errors being:

  • The item is not accessible for the fixture's markets
  • The item is not accessible for the guideline's markets
  • The item is not accessible in the user's markets
  • The item is not accessible in the user's brands
  • The item cannot be used in the editor
  • The item is archived
  • The item is not available in the guideline's catalog
  • The item is deactivated
  • This item's type is not compatible with the 2D import

Info

If code1 matches different item types (product & tester) then both will be imported and no error messages will show up.

Bay generation

Bay generation for visuals

If you are importing visuals, a dedicated bay for visuals will be generated, and each imported visual will be put on the back panel in the import order.

  • If the space is not enough on the right of a visual then the next visual will be put above.
  • If the space is not enough above, a new bay will be generated.
  • If the dimension of the visual is bigger than the bay itself, it will be placed on a new bay even if it overlaps it.

Bay generation for grids

If you are importing grids, a dedicated bay for grids will be generated and each imported grid will be put on the back panel in a generated tray (fitting the grid size).

  • If a grid is taller or larger than an empty bay back panel, it will be added to the back panel even if it goes over the sides and the grid will be highlighted in red to notify the overlay.

Bay generation for testers, products, and accessories

If you are importing testers, products, or accessories, a dedicated bay will be generated, and each imported item will be put on a shelf.

  • The generated bays always have 6 shelves and items are placed following the import order, starting from the left of the shelf to the right, with 5cm space between each one.
  • If there is not enough space on a shelf to place an item without overlapping the side of the bay, it will be placed on the shelf above. If no other shelves are available in the bay, another bay will be generated.
  • The shelves' position and size are frozen so if an item is very tall and overlaps the shelf above, the item will be highlighted in red to notify that it overlaps a shelf.
